Gabi King (born on April 13th 1970 , Vitoria , ES, Brazil) Designer and visual artist , was born in an artistic environment. Since the middle 80's she has worked and owned a business( partner with Vera Lima, mom!) producing unique and very handmade clothing and accessories lines. Looking for better opportunities moved to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) becoming a big clothing printing shop, working for several important clothing companies such as Yes,Brazil , Company , Redley , corpo e Alma , Boys & Girls and many others. 

Besides that she has a dance and circus performance background that made it possible going to the arts universe creating costumes for many performance groups ,musicians,circus, plays , movies etc .

In 1994 went to Boston (USA) as an English Student (LIFE ,Language Institute) , and at Approach Student Center , besides art modelling for Boston University , Harvard University and Massachusetts School of Art .

Back to Brazil in 1998 , decided to go deep in fashion , reuniting artists and fashion designers and started her first solo business as Gabi Lima and later , became Gabi King. Creating a one of a kind brand and in 2003 went to college for Fashion Design. In 2007 after years of experience she graduated  Bachelor of Fashion Design (FAESA -ES-Brazil).During college she was sponsored for many projects she created at the time, like the event Super Mercado Moda ,(lasting 10 years), a new designers and arts incubator, in an indoor market format , showcasing and helping create a platform ,launching many brands . Still in college presented many collections for her own brand and was invited from the Cultural Department in Vitoria -ES -Brazil, to be the head designer in Social Projects working several communities using design as a re-signification of local culture and income generation .

The struggle of buying materials to work with these social projects , have always affirmed reusing and/or upcycling .

Since moving to Denver - Colorado , it's been the flagship of her artwork , transforming ordinary things to a new colorful and accent piece .
